Courses co-facilitated by a second associate teacher experienced in delivery of the Koru curriculum and providing additional support for group learning
Research has shown that individuals who take Koru feel calmer, sleep better, are more mindful and less likely to judge themselves harshly.
Is Koru Mindfulness suitable for me?
Koru accepts adults of all ages (over 18) who have an interest in learning the skills of mindfulness and meditation. It is suitable for complete beginners and also for those with previous experience who want to return to practice after a break or who simply want to try a new approach.
Koru is a completely secular form of mindfulness training and is therefore suited to individuals of any religion and none.
Having a Mindfulness practice brings many well researched benefits - better focus and concentration, better sleep quality, increased awareness of life as it happens and an overall feeling of well-being and calm. There is also a reduction in anxiety and stress levels among practitioners.
Sounds great BUT there’s a really good reason why we’re not all practicing mindfulness. We also know from the research that learning mindfulness especially at the beginning, can feel difficult, irritating, boring, time-consuming and generally ‘not for me’, in spite of all those wonderful benefits.
Koru Mindfulness addresses this problem head on. With Koru, a range of meditation and mindfulness skills are taught in a way that allows the student to develop a sustainable practice, by following an easy and accessible course structure that supports learning, every step of the way.
